Position Overview
As the Director of FP&A, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and driving the sustainable growth of our company. You will lead a team responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, providing critical insights to support strategic decision-making across all levels of the organization. This position reports directly to the VP of Finance and offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's success.


What You'll Do

Strategic Financial Planning:

  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and refine the company's financial goals and long-term strategic plans.
  • Lead the development and implementation of annual budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and accurate resource allocation.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and industry benchmarks to provide actionable recommendations for achieving financial targets.

Forecasting and Analysis:

  • Create and manage comprehensive financial models to facilitate accurate forecasting of revenues, expenses, and cash flows.
  • Provide regular variance analysis and insightful commentary on financial performance to senior management, highlighting key drivers and potential opportunities or risks.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of forecasting processes, leveraging technology and best practices.

Business Partnering:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as R&D, Sales, Operations, HR, and Marketing to provide financial insights that inform strategic decisions.
  • Work closely with department heads to develop KPIs, monitor performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement or optimization.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to functional leaders, offering financial expertise to guide resource allocation and investment decisions.

Investor Relations:

  • Support fundraising efforts by providing accurate financial data and insights to potential investors, ensuring transparency and credibility.
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial presentations and materials for board meetings, investor presentations, and other external communications.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members, empowering them to excel in their roles.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing FP&A functions.
  • Experience within the medical device, healthcare, or life sciences industry strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving process improvements and leveraging technology to enhance financial analysis and reporting.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Compensation Range
$190,000$220,000 USD
