About the role

As Associate Vice President of Sales, you will architect and lead the commercial field organization responsible for launching our first product in the U.S. This is a pivotal leadership role, one that directly shapes how our breakthrough science reaches patients who need it most. Join CG Oncology to build, launch, and lead a sales organization that changes the oncology landscape, and your own career trajectory in the process.

Essential Functions

  • Build and Lead the Launch Team: Recruit, train, and inspire a national oncology sales organization focused on performance, accountability, and patient impact.
  • Deliver a High-Performance Launch: Drive execution of the U.S. commercial strategy and achieve early revenue milestones
  • Establish Sales Excellence: Define KPIs, build real-time performance dashboards, and institutionalize a data-driven culture of continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with Commercial Operations, Marketing, Market Access, and Medical Affairs to ensure synchronized field execution and compliance.
  • Shape Market Strategy: Lead scenario planning, competitive analyses, and risk mitigation efforts that protect the launch critical path.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of U.S. pharmaceutical or biotech commercial leadership, including national sales responsibility.
  • Proven launch success in a complex, specialty-driven market (oncology preferred).
  • Deep understanding of buy-and-bill, GPO, IDN, and payer dynamics.
  • A track record of building diverse, high-performing sales teams and coaching next-generation leaders.
  • Ability to thrive in high-visibility, high-growth environments where adaptability and judgment drive outcomes.
