Bio-Techne is seeking outstanding undergraduates, recent graduates and/or graduate students in Information Technology for 2025 summer internships focused on helping to support and innovate Bio-Techne’s IT Infrastructure and Information Systems.
We are looking for academically accomplished, highly motivated, and energetic individuals with a strong interest in IT.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Support user’s questions, problems, and needs with prompt and courteous attention.
User support areas include, but are not limited to operating systems, hardware, and application support, which includes Microsoft & Apple.
Asset lifecycle and inventory management.
IT hardware and software procurement.
Assist IT Staff with department and company projects.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Proficient with Windows operating system
Understanding of system and networking concepts including but not limited to: DNS, DHCP, IP, FTP
Basic understanding of SQL, Office365, MacOs.
Basic experience with Linux
Understanding of networking concepts; e.g. OSI Layers, Routing, Port speeds, vlans, etc.
Understanding of security concepts and remediation; e.g. firewalls, A/V, certificates, encryption, spam and web filtering.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Accomplished Undergraduates, recent graduates, and/or graduate students in Information Technology
Logical Problem Solving Skills
Strong customer service orientation.
Technical documentation skills.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
