Position Summary
Biologics systems are Bio-Techne’s innovative automated Capillary electrophoresis instruments for accelerating biologics development.
Biologics systems are widely used in Pharma, Biotech and Contract Research and Manufacturing Organisations and is developing a market in Academic, Academic Hospital, Government and other institutions.
This field-based sales role covers the Republic of Ireland, targeting customers in Pharmaceutical, Biopharma, Biotech, CRO/CDMO, Academia, and Hospitals. The ideal candidate has capital equipment sales experience, a Life Sciences or Biologics Quality Control background with a proven record of selling instruments across diverse markets.
Essential Responsibilities
Responsible for the sales of Bio-Techne’s Biologics Sales Instruments, consumables and service contracts.
Work closely with regional Account Managers and Sales Specialists to offer customers the highest level of value by supporting their research and product development with unique immunoassay solutions across their entire workflow
Develop a high level of understanding of our products and deliver value through a solution-based approach
Identify and develop Executive level relationships to drive key partnership opportunities in the Biologics space.
Identify and prospect across a wide range of customer roles to engage and initiate discussions, via multiple touch points including digital video communications, email, phone, face to face meetings and business based social media.
Development and continued use of Business Plans for each Biologics Sales account.
Use industry knowledge to initiate workflow discussions early in the planning phase of product development.
Build and strengthen your network and relationships within the customer organisations.
Understanding customer goals, focus, budgets, needs, preferences and all relevant influencers.
Work closely with our marketing department and product managers to execute specific campaigns as part of the regional strategy.
Demonstrate understanding of your territory and accurately forecast revenue on monthly and quarterly basis to the Territory Business Manager.
Represent the company through networking at domestic and international conferences.
Complete reporting as required by the Territory Business Manager.

Essential Qualifications
At least 3 years proven experience in capital equipment sales to the Life Sciences research sector, with experience in sales of disruptive new technologies to pharma, biotech and academic customers a benefit.
Minimum of a Bachelor level degree in a relevant scientific discipline. A research background with higher degree (MSc or PhD) is an advantage.
Strong business skills in negotiation, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making
Proven experience in the Pharmaceutical and Biotech market, with North Atlantic Life Science market experience advantageous.
Motivated, energetic, and success-driven with excellent interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills.
Strong technical lab skills for customer demonstrations and ability to build strong customer relationships.
Proficient in MS Office and Salesforce, with excellent time management, multitasking, and attention to detail.
Strong business skills in negotiation, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making.
