Position Summary:
Are you a talented, energetic and collaborative Marketer? We’re looking for a passionate individual eager to grow their life sciences marketing experience within a customer-first team. This Senior Product Marketing Specialist will join the dynamic Reagents Solution Division (RSD) Product Portfolio Marketing team and be responsible for development and execution of high-growth go-to-market, multi-channel, full funnel marketing plans to raise awareness and drive conversion within key life science market segments.
This collaborative individual will need to work effectively across multiple marketing, sales and product management functions, influencing cross-functional teams to drive results for the marketing programs they lead.
The ideal candidate is dynamic, self-motivated, an excellent communicator and will possess a strong understanding of the life science research market, particularly in the areas of cell or protein biology, along with demonstrated skills in market development.
In addition to annual base salary, this position is eligible to receive a target annual cash bonus based on individual and company performance, in accordance with company policy.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and lead execution of high-impact go-to-market (GTM) programs to drive revenue growth for our RSD portfolios in key customer segments, including academia, biotech, pharma, immunology, immune cell therapy and regenerative medicine.
Develop and write strategic multi-channel integrated marketing content to acquire and convert new customers and engage, retain, and grow existing customers.
Collaborate with product management and scientific applications teams to develop and promote high-value portfolio-specific content across the marketing funnel including brochures, webpages, webinars, posters, and sales tools for new and existing products.
Serve as the marketing lead for portfolio marketing programs by communicating with and influencing key stakeholders and cross-functional partners (Product Management, Brand, Marcom) to ensure alignment of marketing plans for new products and on-market product improvements.
Maintain a clear marketing calendar and ensure timely delivery of marketing tactics
Utilize analytical tools and revenue reporting data to make data-driven marketing decisions to meet or exceed financial and marketing performance objectives.
Create product launch toolkits that provide impactful new product messaging and education to our commercial teams, including product training, positioning, key messaging, and customer facing materials.
Attend and support industry conferences and tradeshows to generate leads and identify new business opportunities
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry or related discipline, advanced degree or MBA preferred.
3+ years of marketing experience in the life sciences industry, biotech or related field, product marketing experience preferred.
Tactical marketing experience in multiple channels including web, SEO, SEM, display, email, events, and 3rd party advertising.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Able to develop and communicate the unique value and promise that Bio-Techne products offer to life science research customers
Strong copywriting skills with the ability to create promotional scientific content
Collaborates easily and effectively with an ability to influence without direct authority
Exceptional project management skills, attention to detail, and deadline driven
Knowledge of the following key competencies: 4Ps and marketing mix, marketing communication, segmentation, value proposition and marketing program development
Strong customer focus in terms of understanding our customer needs, drivers and putting these at the forefront of business decisions
Fast and self-starter learner, with ability to work in a dynamic team adapting quickly to a changing environment
Understanding of key digital media channels and how they influence customer behavior
Possess a curious and enthusiastic attitude, as well as show innovation by piloting new approaches, harnessing key learnings
Ability to travel up to 10%
